Interview, Email Subject

1933 - Panambi - 1938 - Ijuhy - 1941

Hildegard, Eberhard, Ulrich Eberhard II and Mechthild arrived at the port of Rio Grande in 1933. Panambi (called Neu Württemberg until 1954) made attempts to Beka apple crop, vegetables and grapes.

Grasshoppers and ants destroyed everything. Furthermore there was no consumer market in the small village.

Yet Beka in 1937 built a house, which bore the first Gaucho Sydow: Gunther, on September 18.

In 1938 the family moved to Ijuí where he lived for three years.

Ulrich Panambi remained to complete the confirmatory teaching. Pictured from left to right son Eberhard, Ulrich confirmed, Gunther, Ursula Strohtmann, Ingrid Strohtmannn, Mechthild and Brigitte Strohtmann.

Eberhard, since 1939, went to work in Porto Alegre in floriculture Walter Winge but the family remained in Ijuhy. In 1941 Hildegard, and their three children moved definitively to Porto Alegre, leaving the eldest son, Ulrich, in Ijuhy in Pharmacy where Schenck já trabalhava desde 1939.
